Security Installation Engineer - Covering the South Coast
£24,000 - £36,000 Per Annum, DOE
Scope of Security Installation Engineer Position:
To install security systems, as directed by the Installation Co-ordinator, normally with assistance from a junior technician, at locations where sales have been procured. Exceptionally, this may necessitate work outside the normal operational area of the Company.
Key Security Installation Engineer Responsibilities & Objectives:
On receiving instructions from the Installation Co-ordinator your responsible for the collection and transportation of job kits, specifications and customer invoices to site daily.
Establishment of liaison with customers and implementation of site surveys for job planning prior to commencement of work. It is vital to reach full agreement between Company and customers as to the precise methods of proposed installation work on a daily basis.
Installation of systems within schedule in accordance with specification and standards, using the Quality Assurance System for reference and maintenance of standards. Also safe working practices must be employed. Maintenance of liaison with Installation Co-ordinator regarding unfinished work and unforeseen difficulties on a daily basis.
On completion of installations, thorough testing of the systems in all modes of operation and recording of system parameters on the Commissioning Forms provided on a daily basis.
Demonstration of systems operation to customers/keyholders on a daily basis.
Provision of appropriate guidance and training of assistants where necessary on a daily basis.
Direction and supervision of the activities of any subordinates on a daily basis.
Liaise with Remote Services department to download system information to remote PC.
To comply with the Health & Safety legislation and Company rules to ensure Health & Safety of self and others on site on a daily basis.
Other Security Installation Engineer Tasks:
Present your ID upon arrival at customer premises and adopt excellent customer relations in accordance with the company’s customer care standards.
Commitment to training and development ensuring competency is attained.
To ensure the Company vehicle provided complies with general requirements of safety and serviceability and to maintain it in a clean and tidy condition, together with Company plant on a daily basis.
Maintenance of suitable levels of consumables and ready use stock within the vehicle for provision of adequate back up to installation job kits on a daily basis.
When called upon, to give assistance to other installation teams or servicing department on a daily basis.
To carry out minor day-work tasks as required, to utilise odd periods of the working day on a daily basis.
Collection of payment from customers on completion of work and return of same to the office on a daily basis.
When circumstances dictate, the provision of flexible working practices to carry out work other than installation of security systems, to the benefit of the Company on a daily basis.
Perform the "call out" duty in accordance with the published roster where applicable when suitably qualified.
Provide a significant level of customer care on a daily basis.
The efficient and tidy installations of security systems in accordance with the Company Quality system.
