Internal Sales Manager
£30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum, DOE
Due to continued growth a challenging and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager. The job is primarily office based with perhaps 4/5 trips to visit customers per month.
The company provides custom cable assembly and contract assembly services at a rate of 25,000 cables with 4,000 different designs to 60 customers each month. Customers cover a wide range of industries and business sectors including; Aerospace, Transportation, Air traffic control systems, Car parking, Railways, Power distribution, Computers, Data communications plus many more.
Our client has been trading for 25 years and is registered ISO 9000:15 BSI.
The successful candidate will need to ensure that there is good quality of contact with the existing premier customers, evaluate casual customers plus seeking to acquire new ones. There would be a degree of limited account management. But the main task is to support the subordinate Account Managers.
Sales order processing is paramount with due diligence to fully understand the customer design requirements. In collaboration and with full support from Production Engineering and Purchasing responsible for preparing quotations and availabilities of the material necessary the build the cables. Interfacing involving discussions with both customers and the operations.
The successful candidate would be responsible for the smooth running of the Sales Department making sure that the individual account managers are supported in order to meet their individual objectives.
Internal Sales Manager Skills:
- 5 years of experience in dealing with and proven track record in the Cable/Electronics industry
- Account development
- Experience of dealing directly (including face to face) with customers on a regular basis on commercial aspects, and responding to technical questions.
- Good communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written
- Good level of IT literacy in Outlook and Excel
