Marketing Assistant 

Chippenham, Wiltshire 

£22,000 Per Annum

Our client are looking for a Marketing Assistant to manage and co-ordinate activity communication for new and used cars and for the aftersales department to assist achievement of agreed business objectives set by general management. 
 
 Key Responsibilities 

  •  Drive increased local awareness of the Group Dealer. 
  •  Generate enquiries for the Group team. 
  •  Devise initiatives that will assist the retention of current customer base. 
  •  Generate new and used car and aftersales enquiries. 
  •  Prepare, manage and deliver against the Dealer marketing plan detailing all activity. 
  •  Work with internal department managers and manage external agencies. 
  •  Identify and advise on all areas of customer dissatisfaction. 
  •  Organisation and management of off-site events – booking of space, exhibition unit, livery on vehicles etc.  Organisation of on-site events. 
  •  Negotiate advertisement rates with local publications and booking space.  Issue of press releases to local publications. 
  •  Ensure the web site is kept relevant and up-to-date. 
  •  Organisation of off-site product placements – initial contact, organising materials needed, manning the stand and ensure all enquiries are followed up. 
  •  Support direct sales activities such as LBDM and Advocacy. 
  •  Manage the creation of bespoke / UK produced adverts (new and used cars and the aftersales department). 
  •  Creation and regular updating of suite of customer letters.  Creation of tactical letters for direct mail activity.  
  •  Organisation of mail shots for all departments. Collating articles for inclusion in Dealer Newsletter. 
  •  Fulfilment of enquiries – brochure / further information requests.  
  • Organise all relevant PR and goodwill expenditure. 
  • Organisation of the showroom to ensure that it meets standards (DVD, lamellas, posters, number plates etc.)  
  • Ensuring that merchandise cabinet is well stocked at all times. 
  • Maintenance of used car portfolio system, display board, used car stock list and local used car advertising.

Takes appropriate action where there have been lapses in processes and escalates where necessary.

  • Develops productive and cooperative relationships with customers and colleagues, through the use of rapport building techniques, empathy and effective interpersonal skills. Approaches sensitive situations with consideration for others and works to achieve constructive outcomes.

  • Able to influence others to accept or agree to their viewpoint or a proposed course of action through the use of convincing and reasonable arguments, supported by the effective use of the key features and unique selling points of relevant products and services. Negotiates fairly and effectively, supporting their position with well reasoned arguments. Develops an approach designed to achieve win-win situations for customers, colleagues, the Dealer and Brand.

  • Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:30
