Fulfilment Manager

Chippenham, Wiltshire

£35,000 - £45,000 Per Annum

Our client are recruiting for a Fulfilment Manager, to direct and control all outbound cut sheet printing and fulfilment operations of the company to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Fulfilment Manager Key Priorities:

  • Strategy - contribute to the development of the company’s corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the areas of cut sheet printing and fulfilment to ensure the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
  • Department efficiency – by reducing department costs as % of sales - through efficient working and continuous improvement
  • Team wellbeing – direct and control all cut sheet printing and fulfilment employees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry their responsibilities to the required standard.
  • Organisation – ensuring the departments are always clean, tidy and impeccably organised
  • Confidentiality – is professional and confidential always, conducting yourself with integrity in all matters relating to the company, its information, reputation and its employees and clients

Fulfilment Manager General Priorities:

  • System, data and physical security within departments
  • Health and Safety of all departmental areas
  • Ensure all departments are organised and properly resourced during peak times
  • Provide annual departmental budgets (with COO) and management of agreed annual budgets
  • Ensure continued compliance with PCI and GCRTS and other relevant standards
  • Hold regular improvement discussions with other department heads
  • Ensure annual staff appraisals are held and that all staff are clear on their role and objectives
  • Participate and take an active role in meetings, offering opinion, and helping lead debate
  • Ensure staff are aware and trained in the company Information Security Management System
  • Ensure robust documented Standard Operating Procedures exist for all key aspects of departmental activity (reviewed annually)
  • Prepare and present monthly report covering all agreed KPI’s, department updates and other relevant information

Fulfilment Manager Departmental Priorities:

  • Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the cut sheet and fulfilment functions achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop and control the budget for the operational departments to ensure they have all the resources required to meet their objectives within agreed financial parameters.
  • Direct and control the cut sheet and fulfilment functions to ensure that finished goods of the required standard are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times.
  • Direct and control the cut sheet and fulfilment functions to ensure that customers requirements are supplied with the right quantities of goods at the right times.
  • Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that a safe and healthy working environment is maintained at all company sites.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all other managers to ensure that there is effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.
  • Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to fulfilment operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position
  • Develop and maintain business SLA’s in-line with client expectation while ensuring budgetary discipline is enforced throughout the production operation.
  • Develop business knowledge and acumen to enable client teams to improve profitability by ensuring cost management and cost to serve is clearly understood and adopted across the business
  • Lead and drive change in the processes we currently undertake across the business
  • Drive the development and implementation of a Performance Management culture to ensure employees receive the coaching and leadership they require to deliver on our business goals and with clear alignment to service excellence and with the client at the forefront of everything we do.
  • Maintain and enhance processing performance standards across cut sheet and fulfilment areas using change experience to deliver productivity and efficiency improvements across the business
  • Work with existing suppliers and develop further service enhancement opportunities to deliver on both financial and service delivery targets. (following existing supplier management policy)
  • Manage all operational contracts and agreements where you are the relationship owner
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly reporting of operational performance for production areas
  • Challenge the status quo of the business and drive a continuous improvement culture while ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements by introducing the concepts of Right First Time (RFT) across the business

Fulfilment Manager Key Performance Indicators: (monthly)

  • Department costs v budget
  • Productivity of department (total company sales/department costs)
  • Thanking v SLA
  • No of incidents in department (reported by compliance)
