£35,000 - £55,000 DOE

Our client is world leader in the design, development and manufacture of precision magnetic field sensors.They are looking to recruit an experienced Electronics Engineer to augment their engineering design capability within the R&D Department. The ideal candidate will be an engineer who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to apply knowledge in a small team where everyone contributes to their full ability.

The Electronics Engineer Role

Reporting to the Research and Development Manager the role involves:

Electronics Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

  • To design, develop and validate electronic instrumentation and support equipment
  • Occasional liaison with customers and travel to test houses
  • Low noise analogue and mixed signal design of precision instrumentation
  • Simulation and calculation of designs
  • Linear and switch mode power supply design for low power circuits
  • Digital hardware design – data acquisition using discrete logic
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout preferably using Altium
  • Design for EMC
  • Design for manufacture and test

Electronics Engineer Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • BSc, BEng or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline
  • Previous experience of taking a product from technical discussions to product release
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable:

  • MSc, MEng or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline
  • Experience in working with AS9100 controlled projects or within a similar quality management environment
  • Experience in working with magnetic field related instrumentation

Experience gained from one of the following industrial backgrounds would be an advantage:

  • Instrumentation and control
  • Measuring instruments and sensors
  • Audio

Hours and Salary:

  • This position is permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
