Our Client is well known brand who are a rapidly expanding online retailer. They are looking for a Bookkeeper / PA to assist the Managing Director with their ever-demanding daily duties. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is an interesting, challenging and varied role for the right candidate. Bookkeeper Roles and Responsibilities: Adding customer/Suppliers’ invoices onto Xero Customer/supplier payments Bank reconciliation Credit control reports End of month supplier run Liaising with Management Accountant Holiday diary management Filing full payment submission & employers payment summary Pension scheme – auto enrolment Weekly pension filing Reading emails Censoring Calls Running monthly payroll for 27 Building relationships with suppliers Dealing with managing bank accounts Management of filing Finance duties, i.e. collating expenses, checking staff expenses and petty cash duties. PA Responsibilities: Diary management – arrange meetings by liaising with suppliers and customers Plan and co-ordinate meetings including preparing documentation. Produce a high standard of written communication. To draft documents and correspondence on behalf of the Chief Executive and to format documents, such as letters and presentations as required. Being pro-active and using high level initiative to make decisions (using broad knowledge of the company) when the Chief Executive Officer is not available Act as representative of the Chief Executive Officer where required. Have a strong appreciation of confidentiality. Working with senior management team to ensure various business projects are delivered in efficient and timely manner. Bookkeeper / PA Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant or in Payroll Experience of supporting Senior Director level and above. Maintain superior working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook. Superb English skills - written and spoken. Flexibility and good interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to meet targets and deadlines. A self-starter able to work with little direct supervision. Ability to think strategically with strong attention to detail and accuracy. The Successful Candidate: Enthusiastic and driven individual. Proactive and focused self-starter.
