This month, we are delighted to report back on another client success story. We work closely with Chris Spratling, the award-winning business coach and owner of one of the UK's fastest growing business & executive coaching practices. A month ago, after one of our coaching sessions, Chris mentioned that he was looking to appoint a new Business Development Manager to help him grow his very successful coaching business.
As ever, we arranged to sit down with Chris and really understand what he was looking to achieve with this role and the type of person that would fit into his organization. This process isn't just about understanding Chris from his point of view but also gives us a valuable insight when selling the opportunity to potential candidates.
Once we had assembled and pre-interviewed eight candidates, who could all perform the daily sales and business development tasks that the role demanded, we arranged a Group Assessment day to take place at Chris's offices. This day included a presentation from Chris about Action Coach and what he was looking for in the role, a number of role play exercises for the candidates, and one to one interviews between Chris and each candidate.
Chris Spratling comments: "I was really impressed with the level of the candidates that Jackie's team had selected and, in putting the whole Group Assessment together so succinctly, it only took me one day to choose my new Business Development Manager. My chosen candidate isn't just filling my latest vacancy - she has the potential to help me build my business over the medium and longer term as well. In fact, I'm really looking forward to getting started!"
Not only did Chris find his ideal candidate from the day but he was also so impressed with one of the other candidates that he is currently evaluating whether he can create a new role for her to join his team as well!
