We are delighted to feature another client success story this month. A few weeks ago we were approached by a medium sized manufacturing company, who needed to find three specialist engineers to add to their team to fulfil a new contract they had just won from a brand new client.
We went to see them at their premises. We always visit our clients as it gives us the opportunity to soak up the company culture and helps us sell the company to prospective candidates. As part of our normal client liaison process, we reviewed their growth plans as a whole as well as exploring the necessary experience and skill set of the engineers they were seeking to hire.
Opportunity For Growth
Originally they were looking at temporary contracts to fulfil this specific order and at a relatively junior level. Given their exciting plans and growth projections, we questioned whether this would be an ideal opportunity to bring more highly skilled staff on board, initially to deliver the specific contract, but with a view to making their roles permanent after successful completion.
Our client acknowledged the need for technical innovation in this highly competitive sector was of paramount importance for the future and this gave them the perfect opportunity to audition new talent as well as solving the immediate problem.
Planning For The Future
So the candidates that we actually put forward were more experienced and future proofed for their medium-term goals and we are in close contact with our client to see how the engineers' careers develop within their business.
